PEE ESS

i forgot to mention:
the toilets here have two buttons on them
no flusher leaver, just these two buttons
and generally, one of the has a full circle on it, and the other has just a half circle
and as far as i can tell, the both do EXACTLY the same thing: flush
thoughts, anyone?

i have heard rumours of environmentally friendly toilets in canada... where if you just hold the handle down for a little bit, it uses a little bit of water, but if you hold it down longer, it uses MORE water, if you think more water is required to meet your flushing needs at the time. maybe that's what the half and whole circles are - half tank or whole tank.

or MAYBE...
it's part of a secret joke on tourists. and both buttons ARE exactly the same.

As far as I could tell, one button flushed a set amount of water and the other just kept flushing until you let go of the button...

alie. . it's katie! yeah they're environmentally friendly toilets, the new buildings at uvic have the same ones...they're everywhere here too. i find often when i press either button it just chops the toilet paper up into little bits, then i have to flush like 2 or 3 times to make it disappear. kinda funny. glad you guys made it there, im heading to melbourne tomorrow for some great ocean roadness, wine tasting and 'roo watching.
laterrrr
oh yeah, and i ate kangaroo and played cricket for the first time all in one day, it was a big day.
